The Church in the World Committee is pleased to present, once again, our annual Holiday Alternative Gift Fair. Come and enjoy looking for something different — to make a difference!
We look forward to having Dan Johanson with us at the gift fair, sharing with us about the Badjao Bridge ministry and selling pearl jewelry which is made by the Badjao people. Also, there will be an opportunity to sponsor a child in the Philippines. See the article below for more information about this ministry.
There will be a table for Heifer Project, where you may give a donation in honor of a friend or relative. You will receive a colorful card to announce your gift and more information about the work of this organization.
There will also be a new variety of gifts this year, which come to us from a fair trade organization called Partners for Just Trade. And we’ll also have handmade items from around the world, sent to us by SERRV. Also there will be wonderful edible gifts, courtesy of Equal Exchange, which come from a variety of countries. All of these organizations are committed to Fair Trade, helping artisans and farmers build a better future for themselves and their families, in parts of the world where this is difficult.
Finally, our church cookbook, Blessings From the Kitchen (2017), will be on sale for $10. Proceeds go toward our Mission Trip Fund.
Plan to come and enjoy a little shopping during coffee fellowship at 10:30am, knowing that your purchases do make a difference!
