September 26 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
We are resuming limited in-person worship in our sanctuary, with required pre-registration. Sunday worship will be at 9:30 am, and we will be socially distanced, wearing our masks and enjoying a pre-recorded anthem from the Summer Choir for the first few weeks. Later, we will be able to relax these guidelines and enjoy congregational singing as well as live music from our choir.
A transitional plan has been adopted by our Session, requiring that all those who come to worship be fully vaccinated, or have had a negative Covid-19 PCR test in the 72 hours prior to the worship service. Everyone will be asked to verify their vaccine or negative test, as they arrive for worship on Sunday morning. Vaccination verification will only be required one time, and can be done ahead of time if you wish to stop by the church office prior to Sunday
For phone reservations:
Staff will be available to take your reservation between 10 am and 4 pm, Tuesday through Friday. (Please do NOT leave a message on the answering machine; we will need to speak with you in person to make a reservation.)
When you call to make a reservation, you will be asked the following questions:
- Names of those in your party or bubble (with whom you will be seated)
- Is everyone in your group fully vaccinated?
- Or do you plan to get a Covid-19 PCR test, and bring documentation of a negative test on Sunday morning when you arrive at the church?
Entrance to the sanctuary will only take place through the narthex doors – which will be open both on Estudillo Avenue, and on the patio. (Special arrangements will be made for those who need to enter using the handicap accessible ramp.) Only those who have pre-registered will be able to enter. Everyone must be wearing a mask.
The sanctuary doors will be open at 9:00 am. Upon checking in at the attendance table, you will be given a worship bulletin and then an usher will assist with seating. Family members will be seated together; singles may sit in individual seats reserved, or with someone in their bubble.
You will be asked to remain in your designated seat during the entire service. We will not be singing nor reciting prayers/creeds aloud, at least for now. Offering envelopes may be deposited in the Wooden Church in the narthex, as you enter or as you leave.
After the service, you are welcome to gather outside to visit with others, but please do so away from the church doors so that others may exit. Please maintain social distancing outside. In a few weeks, we hope to resume Coffee Fellowship outside on the patio.
